Welcome.

I’m Eric. It’s nice to meet you.

I’m a licensed mental health counselor who works with individuals and couples to support them in addressing life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem, gender identity and exploration, and sex and relationships. I specialize in providing affirming therapy to members of the LGBTQ+ community. I am licensed in New York and New Jersey.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe counseling is a collaborative process built on empathy and respect. You know yourself best, and I see myself as a partner to help you dig into what’s weighing on you. My goal is to meet you with compassion and care—and some tough questions—to better understand your experience and needs. My approach incorporates a strengths-based, psychodynamic, and person-centered perspective with mindfulness techniques, queer and feminist theory, narrative therapy, and cognitive strategies.

As a gay man, I bring my own lived experience and an intimate knowledge of the issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community to my work with queer clients. I am dedicated to creating a judgment free space to affirm and empower you on your journey toward greater self acceptance and growth.

more about me

Prior to becoming a therapist, I had a decade-long career in production and entertainment. My personal experiences in counseling have been meaningful in my own life. I wanted to share that same support that I received with others so I decided to go back to school for a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
